COVID-19

March 20, 2020

Dear Patients & Friends:

This is an unprecedented time in our nation’s history. On March 19, 2020, Governor Doug Ducey signed an executive order affecting all dental offices in Arizona. Specifically, the order calls for a suspension of all “non-essential or elective” procedures that require the use of personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, & gowns) to assure those resources are readily available, if needed, for treatment of patients with Covid-19 (coronavirus). Following that directive, Gilbert Road Dental Care will suspend all non-essential dental services for a period of at least 2 weeks. The Governor defines a “non-essential” procedure as one that may “be delayed without undue risk to the current or future health of a patient” or a procedure that will “threaten a patient’s life or (cause) permanent dysfunction of a body part” if not performed.

Although we have made every effort to maintain full, safe accessibility for our patients for as long as possible, we cannot look beyond the laws that govern us at this time. Rest assured, we have a plan in place that will allow us to care for you, answer your questions & meet your needs during this unprecedented time. We will have staff available to answer your calls during regular business hours and, as always, will be available to care for you in cases of emergency. If you have an appointment already scheduled within the next 2 weeks, please look for a call from us to discuss your treatment needs & appropriate scheduling. Before we all know it, calm will return & life will resume with a renewed gratitude for the simple gifts of everyday life. Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your patience,
Gilbert Road Dental Care
